Starlink has announced a transition for Enterprise customers and Authorized Resellers from Starlink Standard to Starlink Enterprise kits. The key points are:

  • Starting October 12, 2024, Enterprise customers and Authorized Resellers will no longer be able to purchase Starlink Standard kits.
  • From this date, Enterprise customers will be limited to ordering Starlink High-Performance kits exclusively.

In practical terms, businesses attempting to order multiple Starlink Standard terminals using company credit cards will need to switch to purchasing the High-Performance kits instead.

Why the change?
Starlink aims to provide an enterprise-level service and product for business customers, distinct from the offering provided to residential and non-business users. The terminals provided within the enterprise kits mean business can benefit in several ways.

The High-Performance (HP) option offers several advantages over the Standard version, including:

  • Enhanced weather resistance: The HP antenna is rated IP56, compared to IP54 for the Standard version.
  • Superior performance in hot climates: Download speeds are typically three times faster in temperatures above 35°C (95°F).
  • Improved snow-melting capabilities: The HP antenna melts snow 1.7 times more effectively.
  • Wider field of view: A 35% greater field of view allows the HP antenna to capture more satellites, resulting in fewer outages and reduced latency.

What’s included with the Starlink High-Performance Kit?

  • Power Supply Mount
  • 50m (164 ft) Enterprise Cable
  • 1.8m (6 ft) AC Power Cable
