Starlink, the Low Earth Orbit satellite service provided by SpaceX, provides high-speed, low-latency internet connectivity globally using a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit. Starlink can be beneficial in areas where traditional terrestrial internet infrastructure is limited or unavailable, such as rural or remote locations or as a completely independent network path for those using traditional fixed infrastructure.

Peplink, on the other hand, specialises in software-defined networking (SDN) solutions, particularly in the field of multi-WAN (wide area network) load balancing and failover technologies. It’s products are designed to provide reliable internet connectivity by combining multiple internet sources, such as Starlink, 4/5G and more traditional wired connections (fibre/FTTC etc).

Peplink was announced as the first technology provider to Starlink back in January 2024. The two work well together because they complement each other’s capabilities in providing robust and reliable internet connectivity solutions, particularly for remote or mobile applications.
