onWave Streamer is a Twitter tool I made last year that gives you the ability to create a topical page to keep up with any Twitter topic you specify. Just fill out the quick form and you have a unique web page which streams tweets that are dedicated to the topic you choose.
Yes, there are Twitter apps that fulfill this basic function, but the difference here is that you can share your stream and access it directly from your browser without logging into a secondary service. One interesting Stream that I made is called Twitter Down. When Twitter goes down (as we’ve all experienced at one time or another) you can still read the panic tweets from people who tweet using their cellphones. It can be quite entertaining and, for those who are unable to live or breathe without a constant connection to the Twitter community, this tool might relieve some of the Twitter seperation anxiety.
I usually make a UFC Stream while I’m watching UFC or other sports. The Streams can be quite lively and it’s interesting to read other people’s opinions while the contests are live and underway.
